Stena Line Routes to and from the Continent
On the routes between Germany - Sweden, Poland - Sweden, Latvia - Sweden and Germany - Latvia, the ID documents listed below are approved for check-in.
- Passport with MRZ code
- National identity card of EU Standard - containing MRZ code or chip, issued by an national authority within the EU/EEA
This applies to all passengers, including children.
Stena Line Routes Between the Nordic Countries
On the routes between Denmark - Sweden and Denmark - Norway, the identification documents listed below are approved for check-in and travel for citizens within the EU/EEA. For travelers from outside the EU/EEA, passport is the only valid document. This also applies to children.
- A valid passport with MRZ code
- National identity card of EU Standard - containing MRZ code or chip, issued by a national authority within the EU/EEA
- For Nordic citizens, it is valid with a driving license issued in a Nordic country
This applies to all passengers except children under 16 years traveling on their parents' IDs.
